My securities litigation background is extensive. I started my career at Greenberg Traurig, a national law firm, defending large brokerage houses in securities matters. After learning how the major financial firms defend securities cases, I served as Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Economic Crimes Division of the United States Attorney's Office. After completing my government service, I entered private practice where I have devoted my practice to exclusively handling securities litigation matters. I have also served as Court-appointed Receiver in Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement cases in which I was charged by the Federal Court with the duty of protecting securities investors' rights.
I have also served as Chairman of the Securities Litigation Committee of the Dade County Bar Association, and as Co-Chair of the Securities Enforcement Subcommittee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. I have authored articles and been featured as a guest speaker on securities law issues, and have been retained as an expert witness on securities law cases.
