Thomas Early joined Dickstein Shapiro LLP in 2007, and is senior counsel in the firm's Corporate & Finance Practice. Mr. Early has extensive experience in matters related to mutual funds and the Investment Company Act of 1940 ("1940 Act"), including counseling investment advisers and mutual fund boards. Most recently, he was senior vice president, general counsel, chief corporate affairs officer, and secretary to one of the country's largest mutual fund families, where he played a significant role in a variety of complex legal and regulatory matters, including the creation of the fund family’s international funds, the sale of subsidiary advisory corporations, and the assimilation of new subsidiary advisers. He focuses his practice on mutual funds, investment advisers, and the representation of independent trustees of mutual funds.
