J. Robert Chambers, a Partner with Wood, Herron & Evans, is involved in all phases of the firm's intellectual property practice and his expertise is concentrated in the areas of litigation and client counseling. Admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1972 and the Ohio bar in 1974, Bob is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He joined Wood, Herron & Evans in 1974.
During his 25 years of litigation practice, he has handled cases in federal and state courts across the country, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Bob is the author of a number of articles on jury trials in patent cases and reviews of Federal Circuit rulings on patent matters and is listed in the Intellectual Property Section of The Best Lawyers in America.
Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a Master of Science degree from The Ohio State University in 1968. He then graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University in 1972.
Bob is an active member of the American, Ohio, Michigan and Cincinnati Bar Associations and the American and Cincinnati Intellectual Property Law Associations. He resides in Anderson Township, Ohio with his wife Jan.
