Christopher Cazares is a civilian military defense counsel and former member of the active duty JAG Corps. He has extensive military trial experience as both a defense counsel and prosecutor.
During his time as a active duty member of the Air Force JAG Corps, Mr. Cazares defended murder charges, child pornography, and rape. In 2009 Mr. Cazares was selected to for an assignment as a senior litigator, designed to bring the JAG Corps’ elite litigators together to continue their careers in the courtroom. He has been described by his superiors as the “#1 Litigator,” lauded for his “bulldog tenacity” and being a “leader among elite” senior litigators. Mr. Cazares recently left active duty to continue his career in the courtroom and to devote his hard earned trial skill and experience to defend military members accused of crimes.
Mr. Cazares received a B.A. in History at the University of Texas at El Paso, where he played Rugby and coached high school football. After completing his undergraduate studies, he began law school at the University of Southern California, where he was vice president of the Latino Student Association. He was awarded his Juris Doctor in May of 2004. Today, Mr. Cazares and his wife reside in her home state of Hawaii.
