After coming home to Houston, she attended South Texas College of Law. While there she became a member of the South Texas Law Review before finally graduating with high honors.
After being admitted to the bar, Jessica Cartwright worked as an associate for a trial advocacy law firm. At that firm, she worked on a wide range of matters focusing primarily on premises liability, construction litigation and third party insurance defense.
