Casey, Anita R.

Mr. Carter is a 1985 graduate of the University of Illinois , graduating with High Honors. In 1988, Mr. Carter graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law and accepted a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Richard N. DeGunther, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Illinois, Western Division. In 1990, Mr. Carter became associated with the firm and became a partner in January of 1996.

Throughout the nine (9) years that he has been a partner with the firm, Mr. Carter has represented financial institutions, collective bargaining agents and related funds, and other creditors and trustees with a focus on loan workouts and bankruptcy related litigation, secured transactions and debtor-in-possession financing. Most recently, in 2005, Mr. Carter was elected by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer in the area of bankruptcy and reorganization.
