Janet Carter is a counsel in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the International Arbitration Practice Group and the Business Trial Group. She joined the firm in 2005.

Practice

Ms. Carter’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with an emphasis on cross-border disputes and cases involving international and foreign law issues. She has represented a diverse group of clients, including pharmaceutical companies, telecommunications companies and universities, in cases involving contract, tort, employment, bankruptcy and constitutional law. She also has extensive experience with appellate litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Carter clerked at the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
