Brittany A. Carroll is an associate at Bires & Schaffer. Ms.Carroll attended James Madison University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Ms. Carroll then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. She excelled in law school, serving as an Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law and she was elected to the Moot Court Board. Ms. Carroll completed two internships at the Harris County District Attorney's Office. At the District Attorney's Office, she gained valuable insight into the prosecutorial process. She also completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Judge Eva Guzman at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals. During her judicial internship, she assisted in researching and writing court opinions for criminal appeals. Ms. Carroll was then offered a position as a law clerk at the prestigious criminal law firm of Bires & Schaffer. She clerked for Bires & Schaffer for one year before going on to complete a graduate fellowship at the Federal Public Defender's Office for the Southern District of Texas. While at the Public Defender's Office she gained experience defending clients in the federal court system. After becoming licensed, Ms. Carroll returned to Bires & Schaffer where she is surrounded by lawyers with over 100 years of combined experience.
