Benjamin R. Carpenter was born in California and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Archbishop Moeller High School in 1997 and received his B.A. degree in Philosophy from the University of Dayton in 2000. After graduation, Ben worked in the fields of education and public safety before entering law school. He attended The University of Dayton School and received his Juris Doctorate with a focus on Intellectual Property. After completing law school, Ben moved to Baton Rouge with his family to escape the bleak northern winters. He was admitted to practice law in Louisiana in 2011.
Ben was first introduced to bankruptcy as a law clerk and has continued to expand his expertise in this area of law since being admitted to practice. Ben is admitted to practice in all Louisiana and Federal Courts, and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
Ben is married and the proud father of two daughters. When he is not spending time with his family, you can find Ben volunteering as a religious educator at St. Jean Vianney Church in Baton Rouge, helping with the Theater Program at Runnels School or coaching middle school basketball.
