Carroll, Adam P.

Mr. Carone served in the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 1995, whereupon completion of Officers Candidate School, he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant. He also graduated from The School of Mortgage Banking in 1999. Mr. Carone acts as counsel to the Chairman of the Kings County Democratic County Committee and is also an active participant in Bar Association conferences and in seminars offered by several other trade associations.  He has served as a guest lecturer at the Brooklyn Bar Association, where he is also a Trustee, and the Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn.  He is consulted regularly by attorneys and members of the profession on mortgage compliance, corporate governance and complex criminal matters. Mr Carone’s business achievements include founding a multi-state mortgage bank with over 200 employees until he negotiated a merger with a larger mortgage bank. He served as a member of the regulatory compliance committee of the Mortgage Banking Association of America and was asked to serve as legal counsel for the Bay Ridge/Bensonhurst Multiple Listing Service. Recently, Mr. Carone also serves as general counsel for the first pain management ambulatory surgery center licensed as an Article 28 facility.

Mr. Carone has been honored by the Federation of Italian American Associations where he presently works with the Board on the Building Planning Committee to complete the building of the largest Italian American Cultural Center in the United States; The Kings County Democratic County Committee (where he now serves as attorney to the Chairman); The Thomas Jefferson Democratic Club as Man of the Year along with United States Senator Charles Schumer, and has served as the dinner’s chairman and master of ceremonies for several years; Catholic Charities at its Annual Golf Classic; “Businessman of the Year” by the Bensonhurst-Westend Community Council; and as “Man of the Year” by the Kidney and Urology Foundation. Frank also has worked as a treasurer for several elected legislators and has counseled various judicial candidates on their filing obligations, et al. His philanthropic endeavors include,  participation in the Adopt-a-Scholar Program at The Columbus Citizens Foundation where over two and a half million dollars is donated annually to scholarship endowments;  Chairman of The Staten Island “Great Strides” walk to cure Cystic Fibrosis which  raised over $145,000.00;  Active membership and Board member of the Bay Ridge-Bensonhurst Kiwanis club and Kieser recipient; Board of Director for Bishop Kearney High School; Board of Director for the Brooklyn Board of Realtors where he chaired the Public Relations committee and Vice-Chaired the Legislative/RPAC committee; Vice President of the McKenna-Glover Foundation for fallen Marines; Finance committee at St Bernard Church; Founding member and Grand Knight of the St. Bernard Knights of Columbus Council (under his leadership, Council was the first in Kings County to receive the prestigious Circle of Honor and double star award in many years as well as grow to over 250 members); Founding Pastoral Council member and School Board Member;  Member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem; Chair of the Lay Advisory Committee for the Diocese of Brooklyn-Queens; Trustee and Chair of the House Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association; Member of the Professional Ethics and Unlawful Practice of Law Committees; Board member and Chair of Audit Committee  at  Hanover Community Bank; Board member and Chair of Audit Committee at RBSCC, a non-profit social services organization serving with distinction over 30,000 elderly and impoverished individuals, and has an operational annual budget of over 1oo million dollars; Board member and Chair of Audit Committee at the Alive and Hope Foundation, a Brooklyn-Queens Diocesan Foundation whose primary purpose is to provide long term needs of parishes and schools throughout the Diocese.

Mr. Carone was appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg to the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission and his appointment was approved unanimously by the NYC Council on March 2, 2011 for a term through January 31, 2015.

Mr. Carone’ s is a member of the  New York State Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America,  Brooklyn Bar Association, The American Association of Bank Directors, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Kings County Criminal Bar Association and the Columbian Lawyers Association.

Frank V. Carone is married to his wife Diana and together with their two children resides in Brooklyn.
