Alicia, a shareholder in the Casualty Department, handles the defense of many types of casualty matters and is currently practicing in the areas of automotive, premises liability, lemon law/motor vehicle breach of warranty claims and amusement, sports, and entertainment. Alicia regularly represents amusement and entertainment venues including water parks, roller skating rinks, and shopping malls. She is an active member of the International Amusement and Leisure Defense Association (IALDA).
She has been very successful in handling and resolving over 200 casualty matters either through trial, arbitration, or mediation. Her experience as a trial attorney has earned her multiple defense verdicts.
Alicia is a 1994 summa cum laude graduate of Shippensburg University with a B.A. in Speech Communications and a Minor in German language, completed in Salzburg, Austria.
Alicia graduated from Florida State University in 1999, after completing both a J.D. in Law and a M.A. in International Affairs. She graduated with distinction from the School of Social Sciences and completed part of her legal education at Oxford University. During law school, she was employed by the Florida Senate for bill drafting and analysis on behalf of the Transportation Committee.
On behalf of the North Florida Legal Services, she previously volunteered her time on their legal hotline for post-disaster relief through the Florida Bar.
A member of the Florida Bar, Alicia was associated with the law firm of de laparte & Gilbert, P.A. in Tampa, Florida, and practiced primarily in the healthcare corporate compliance field. In 2001, Alicia returned to Pennsylvania and became a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and the New Jersey Bar. She was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Harold A. Thomson, Jr., President Judge of the Pike County Court of Common Pleas and specially appointed as the Guardian ad litem by Judge Feudal.
