Mrs. Carlin is a talented and experienced Litigator who practices solely in the area of Family Law. Mrs. Carlin has handled cases ranging from Complex Commercial Litigation, Family Law Litigation and represented a client on a Complex Million dollar breach of contract case.
Her aggressive determination allowed her to graduate in two years and a half and with honors (cum laude) from St. Thomas University School of Law. (Law School is an intense 3 year program). She worked during Law School as a Lead Research assistant in charge of 4-6 law students and collaborated on internationally renowned tax publications. She was a Merit Scholarship Recipient and received Academic Achievement Awards in Appellate Advocacy and Property II.
She was listed in the Dean’s List during most Academic semesters. Prior to laws school, Mrs. Carlin obtained invaluable management and customer service experience. She obtained her Bachelors in English Literature and a Minor in International Relations from Florida International University with honors (cum laude).
While obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree at Florida International University, Mrs. Carlin held leadership positions in different organizations such as: English Honor’s Society (Vice President and Community Chair); Parliamentary Debate Society (Vice President); Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Honor’s Society (Community Chair); Member of Golden Key National Honor’s Society. In addition, Mrs. Carlin was chosen to represent her Public Speaking Class in a Public Speak Off and was invited to Participate in the Honor’s Mentor Program.
Mrs. Carlin’s dedication to her field of studies did not diminish her Community Service involvement. She was the Community Chair for Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Honor’s Society, and Sigma Tau Delta English Honor’s society.
As a Community Chair for both organizations, she promoted the clubs’ involvement in different key issues in our Community: Children, Homelessness and Wild life. As part of her dedication for Homeless issues, she lived in a Homeless Shelter as part of F.I.U.’s Alternative Spring Break Program.
Mrs. Carlin is eligible to practice law before all the State Courts of Florida, the Southern District Bankruptcy Court and the U.S. District Court.
