Carlson, George T.

Matthew Carlson is a partner and a member of the firm's Transactional Group and Land and Resources Practice Group. His primary practice is concentrated on commercial real estate, including representing clients in sales and acquisitions, leasing, development, construction, land use and entitlement approvals and the formation of commercial and residential condominiums.

Mr. Carlson has experience representing clients in a wide array of commercial real estate transactions throughout the state of Wisconsin and the Midwest. This experience includes representing clients in negotiating, documenting and closing acquisitions and sales of commercial properties, as well as representing clients in commercial leasing and financing transactions. In addition, Mr. Carlson assists clients in structuring and negotiating commercial, residential, multi-use urban infill and resort development projects, which includes representing clients in obtaining required regulatory approvals and entitlements and preparing documents and agreements setting forth the rights and obligations of stakeholders. Mr. Carlson further assists clients with annexations, subdivision and condominium developments, land divisions, easement negotiations and zoning disputes. Mr. Carlson also frequently represents lenders in commercial and real estate transactions and related matters. In addition, Mr. Carlson represents clients in the telecommunications industry with regard to the siting and leasing of their facilities.

Mr. Carlson is a member of the firm's Energy and Sustainability Industry Team and counsels clients on sustainability and green building initiatives.
