William E. "Ned" Cannon is a civil litigation attorney who focuses his practice in the areas of real estate and property law, business law, contracts, defective construction, contractor-builder liability, probate, and personal injury litigation. Mr. Cannon is active in state and local bar associations and has successfully represented clients in lawsuits, arbitrations and mediations throughout North Georgia.
A native of Albany, Georgia, Ned received his B.A. from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he was on scholarship as a Wofford scholar. Mr. Cannon then went on to obtain his J.D. from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. While there, he was selected to participate in the William A. Bootle Inn of Court and was appointed to the Georgia Supreme Court Committee on Access and Fairness in the Courts, a position held by only one law student in the State of Georgia. After completing his J.D., Mr. Cannon served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Philip C. Smith, Chief Judge of the State Court of Forsyth County before practicing with a prominent Georgia trial law firm in Gainesville, Georgia. In 2011, Mr. Cannon partnered with Thomas Mihill and Logan Winkles to form Cannon, Mihill & Winkles, LLC.
Ned lives with his wife Sarah in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. They are members of St. James United Methodist Church.
