Mr. Campbell is a Colorado native, having been born and raised in Pueblo until the age of 15 when he moved to Loveland where he graduated from Campion Academy in 1973. In 1976, Mr. Campbell graduated magna cum laude from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. He majored in business administration and minored in sociology. While an undergraduate, Mr. Campbell worked full time as an Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance.
Mr. Campbell earned his Juris Doctorate with Distinction in 1981 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law. Mr. Campbell served as Lead Articles Editor of the Nebraska Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
From 1981 to 1982, Mr. Campbell practiced law with the Lincoln, Nebraska firm of Cline, Williams, Wright, Johnson & Oldfather. Mr. Campbell was student accounts officer and general counsel at Union College from 1982 to 1983.
In 1983, Mr. Campbell returned to Colorado and joined Wick & Trautwein's predecessor firm as an associate and became a partner in 1989. Mr. Campbell became of counsel to the firm in 2003.
Mr. Campbell handles personal injury, products liability, wrongful death, insurance, governmental liability and civil rights cases. He has represented hundreds of clients as plaintiff and defense counsel. He has been lead trial counsel in over 50 jury trials and has argued appellate cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals and Supreme Court and before the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Campbell is a member of the Colorado and Larimer County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in all Colorado and Nebraska state courts and in federal district courts in Colorado and Nebraska as well as the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
