Melanie Totty Cagle began practicing law in March of 1998. Melanie's practice incorporates all types of litigation including family and domestic law, civil litigation, personal injury cases, criminal defense, and landlord-tenet/foreclosure litigation.

She also works with individual clients and families on a variety of estate planning including trusts and wills, as well as real estate transactions.

Melanie is a native of Centerville having graduating from Hickman County High School in 1991. She earned both an Associate's of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with Honors and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Sociology with Honors from Tennessee Technological University in 1995. Melanie graduate in December of 1995 from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she was a member of the Tennessee Law Review, the Secretary of the Moot Court Board, a student lawyer at the Legal Clinic, placed second in the Advocate's Prize Law School Competition and interned at the Unites States Attorney General's Office.

Melanie is a Member of the Tennessee and Hickman County Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice law in both the State of Tennessee and the United States Federal Court.
