Alex Cable grew up in the Upstate of South Carolina. He graduated from Wren High School in Piedmont and obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University in 2008. After graduation, Alex and his wife, Courtney, moved to Columbia where Alex worked for a local criminal defense firm.
Alex graduated, with honors, from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2012. He served as the inaugural Fourth Circuit Editor for the South Carolina Law Review: a position dedicated to tracking, analyzing, and writing about the jurisprudence of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He was also a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe.
Alex joined the Brian Murphy Law Firm in August, 2012 and has been active in representing individuals in all facets of employment law. His experience includes cases involving contract disputes, non-compete agreements, discrimination, harassment, unlawful and retaliatory termination, and trade secret disputes.
Alex has authored one law review article examining corporate liability under foreign terror statutes: Corporate Liability and Foreign Acts of Torture: Aziz v. Alcolac, Inc., 63 S.C. Law Rev. 1071 (2012).
Alex is admitted to practice in South Carolina.
