Marisa E. Byar is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey, State of New York, and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to joining the Murgatroyd Law Group, Marisa served as law clerk to the Honorable Peter A. Buchsbaum in the New Jersey Superior Court located in Hunterdon County. Before her clerkship, Marisa graduated summa cum laude from the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University, which she attended under the Drexel Law President’s Scholarship. During law school, Marisa served as Executive Editor of Articles for the Drexel Law Review. Among other awards and honors, Marisa received the Excellence in Oral Advocacy Award for delivering one of the top oral arguments in her class. As part of her professional experience during law school, Marisa served as an intern for the Honorable Joseph H. Rodriguez in the United States District Court located in Camden, New Jersey. Upon graduating from law school, Marisa received the Dean’s Award for Exceptional Achievement in Law School for achieving the second most distinguished academic record in her class. Before law school, Marisa worked as a management consultant for an international consulting firm. Prior to her consulting career, Marisa received her Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Cambridge in England. For her undergraduate degree, Marisa attended Boston College, where she studied English and Linguistics. Marisa was placed on the Dean’s List every semester at Boston College, and graduated with honors. Marisa completed a semester abroad at King’s College London. Marisa is an avid international traveler.
