Mr. Bussell is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2011.
Past Experience
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Bussell served as a Rappaport Law and Public Policy Fellow at the Massachusetts Division of Banks. While there, he helped draft and revise parts of the Massachusetts Mortgage Lender Community Investment regulation, which establishes a requirement for evaluating certain mortgage lenders' records of meeting the mortgage credit needs of the Commonwealth. He also assisted in the formulation of division opinions on proposed changes to federal consumer protection regulations.
While completing his masters degree in public policy and management at the University of Southern Maine’s Muskie School of Public Service, Mr. Bussell interned at Coastal Enterprises, Inc., a non-profit community development corporation. As an intern, he conducted research on the subprime mortgage market as well as home foreclosures.
Mr. Bussell previously worked as a quality control chemist at Lonza Biologics and Wyeth Biopharma.
