Claire Bushorn is an associate with Cook, Portune, & Logothetis LLC, whose practice areas include employee benefits, traditional labor law, employment law, and ERISA.
Claire received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2010 and her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 2006. Claire joined the firm after serving as a law fellow with the Service Employees International Union. During that time, Claire participated in several hospital organizing campaigns in Florida, enforcing the terms of a neutrality agreement and ultimately helped bring 5000 new members to 1199SEIU. During law school, Claire clerked with the general counsel of IUE-CWA and in Washington, D.C., where she assisted with litigation targeting multinational corporations for their complicity in human rights violations.
Prior to law school, Claire volunteered for AmeriCorps in Charlotte, North Carolina and lived abroad in France and West Africa, where she became fluent in French. Claire joined Cook, Portune, and Logothetis LLC in 2011 and continues to focus her practice on helping individuals obtain economic and employment justice.
