Joanne represents employers in all aspects of employment and traditional labor law before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She represents clients in individual, class, and collective matters arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other federal and state employment laws. She has extensive experience working with statistical and economic experts to analyze large quantities of data for nationwide employment class and collective actions. Joanne also defends employers against unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board and represents employers in labor arbitration proceedings.
Additionally, Joanne counsels employers on a variety of labor and employment compliance issues, including employee handbooks, personnel policies, wage and hour issues, personnel actions, internal investigations of employee complaints, and labor contract administration. Her experience also includes advising government contractors regarding their obligations under Executive Order 11246.
