Buscemi, Michael

John Burton is a Partner in the Birmingham office in the Public Finance group. John structures, documents, and negotiates a variety of finance transactions for public and private clients. Over the course of his career, he has served in all of the primary roles in a bond financing, including bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, counsel to the credit enhancer and counsel to the issuer. While experienced in all areas of public finance, John devotes much of his time to healthcare and education finance. His experience also includes financings for governmental infrastructure projects and 501(c)(3) entities.

In addition, John has broad experience drafting and negotiating interest rate swaps and other derivative products for public and private clients. Over the course of various swap transactions, he has represented both swap market makers and end users of derivative products.
