John is of counsel at Buesing, Hernacki & Beckstead. His practice focuses include patent procurement, avoidance, and clearance in the biotech, chemical, pharmaceutical, and medical device arts. John has prosecuted over 100 patent applications in the USPTO and drafted dozens of US and PCT patent applications on behalf of clients ranging from start-up companies to universities to venture capital groups and multinational corporations.
Prior to joining Buesing, Hernacki & Beckstead, John earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and worked for over a decade in biotech research before becoming a patent attorney.
