Sarah A. Burnett joined Becker, Hickey & Poster, S.C. as an associate in July 2011.  Sarah received her undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University in 2008 (cum laude) and received her law degree from Marquette University Law School in May 2011.  Sarah focuses her practice is the areas of Family Law, Elder Law and Estate Planning.

Sarah developed a strong desire to practice law early on having spent several summers in high school and college serving as a paralegal's assistant at a law firm in her home town of Green Bay.  During law school Sarah interned at the Legal Aid Society and clerked at a Green Bay and Appleton personal injury firm before ultimately deciding that family law was one of the areas of law of most interest to her.   Sarah focused the remainder of her coursework in the area of Family law and served as a law clerk for Becker, Hickey & Poster, S.C. during her final year of law school.   

Recently, Sarah received the requisite training to serve as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem for minors in the State of Wisconsin.  Since joining Becker, Hickey & Poster, S.C., Sarah has co-authored an article in the Wisconsin Elder Law Journal and has been asked to speak at the 2013 Wisconsin Elder Law Workshop.
