Michael C. Burns joined Scroggin & Company, P.C. as an associate attorney in July 2012. Michael graduated in 2008 with honors from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate cum laude in 2011 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and earned his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Florida in 2012. While completing his LLM, Michael served as a teaching assistant for the Tax Moot Court Team which placed second and third in national competitions.
Michael focuses his practice on Corporate/Business Law, Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Estate Administration. Michael guides business owners on the complexities of establishing and operating a business and works with clients in developing an estate plan to protect assets and provide for their family in the future at a time of uncertainty.
Michael is a member of the Florida Bar Association and is preparing to sit for the Georgia Bar exam.
