Mr. Burkhead has successfully tried jury and non-jury trials in the Missouri and Kansas state courts and the Missouri federal court and has argued appeals in the courts of appeals and supreme courts of both states and the Eighth Circuit. The cases have included commercial law (acceptance, collections, negotiable instruments, revocation of acceptance and warranty), contract breach and interpretation, construction law, covenants not to compete, Federal Employers' Liability Act, indemnity, lender liability, negligence, will contests and probate adversarial proceedings, products liability, railroad, trespasser, crossing accidents and freight liability, real estate, restraining orders/injunctions and workers' compensation.
