Burkhead, Harlan D.

Jason Burgett is a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Finance from the University of South Alabama. Thereafter, Jason graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in May 2006.

Jason has previously worked as an internal auditor for AmSouth Bank, which is now Regions Bank, and as an attorney with Newell and Associates, LLC. Jason grew up in North Alabama. He has practiced in Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, and Northport, giving him a taste of a diverse state wide geographic practice before he joined our legal team in early 2008. Jason has memberships in the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Association for Justice, the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, and the federal court bars for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama. With his background in finance and gifted legal acumen, Jason has become an integral part of our firm. Jason is a worthy advocate for those who have been wrongfully denied benefits. He especially fights to address the inequities in ERISA which adversely affect families with children.

Jason is active in his church, The Church at Tuscaloosa, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Melanie, and their two children.
