W. Thomas Bunch was born in Ashland, Kentucky in 1940. He was admitted to the Kentucky bar in 1965. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court of the United States. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1962 and his L.L.B. in 1964, both from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of Sigma Chi national fraternity, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternities. Mr. Bunch was a member of the staff of the Kentucky Law Journal from 1961 to 1964 and author of Kentucky’s Invasion of Privacy Tort A Reappraisal (56 Ky. L.J. 261, 1967). He was a law clerk to U.S. Judge Mac Swinford (deceased) from 1964-1965. He was a member of the Lexington-Fayette County Board of Adjustments and Zoning Appeals from 1968-1970. He is currently an associate member of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. Mr. Bunch is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Fayette County Bar Association. He is a life member of the Lexington Kiwanis Club, and held the position of President of the Club from 1980 to 1981.
