John became of counsel to the firm in January 1998. His primary responsibilities are client development, insurance legislative and regulatory work, and alternative dispute resolution regarding life and health insurance. Before joining the firm, John was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of the Paul Revere Companies for 21 years and a staff attorney for 10 years prior. He also served as a captain in the Judge Advocates General Corps for three years. He has served as an arbitrator for reinsurance disputes between national life insurance companies and serves as a legal resource for various HMOs, hospitals, and insurance companies.
