Susan Bryson is a partner in the Real Estate, Environmental and Energy Department in the New Haven office. She represents clients in all aspects of real estate, real estate finance, and real estate development. For over 25 years she has been representing for-profit and nonprofit developers and institutions in connection with the development of mixed-use projects and institutional and business facilities, financed both privately and through public financing, including tax-exempt and taxable bonds, tax credits, and tax increment financing. Ms. Bryson's clients include national and international corporations, educational institutions, hospitals and health care facilities, utility companies, developers and manufacturers.
Ms. Bryson is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. From 2000-2002, she was a Visiting Lecturer at Yale Law School. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Real Estate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and is a member of the Real Estate Section of the American Bar Association. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Bar Foundation where she served as chair of its Grantmaking Committee for a decade. Since 2004, she has been named in Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading attorney in real estate and she is listed in The Best Lawyers in America under the category of Real Estate Law.
Ms. Bryson received her bachelor's degree from Stanford University and her law degree, with highest honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She clerked for the Honorable Alva P. Loiselle, Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court before going into private practice.
