Rob Roy Buckingham, Jr. was born in New York City in 1967 and grew up in Old Greenwich, CT. After graduating from Duke University with a B.A. in History in 1989, he served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain. He received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law where he was an associate editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law and recipient of the CALI Award for excellence in both Tax Policy and Readings in Constitutional History. He earned his LL.M. in taxation from New York University in 2004. Prior to joining Ivey, Barnum & O'Mara in 2004, he was an associate at Day, Berry & Howard in Stamford, CT.
Mr. Buckingham practices in estate and tax planning and trust and estate administration, as well as in the real estate area. Mr. Buckingham is admitted to the bars of the States of Connecticut and New York. He is a member of the Greenwich, Fairfield County and Connecticut Bar Associations.
Mr. Buckingham is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Connecticut Air National Guard and has deployed in operations around the world, including Afghanistan and Iraq. He lives in Riverside with his wife and two sons.
