David Buckfire has been a practicing attorney for more than 30 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in advertising from Wayne State University in 1956. After college, he served in the both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy before beginning a career as a writer. While Director of Promotion and Research for The Detroit News, he entered Wayne State University Law School and attended classes at night. He completed law school with honors in 1969 and successfully completed the Michigan Bar Exam. He entered the private practice of law at that time.
David Buckfire has earned a reputation as skilled litigator during his thirty year career. He specializes in serious injury cases, wrongful death cases, general negligence, and worker's compensation matters. He serves as a mediator with the Wayne County Mediation Tribunal and as an independent arbitrator. He is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court and in the United States District Court. He is a member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association.
