Mr. Bruno is a multi-jurisdictional trial attorney focusing on business litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, legal malpractice and eminent domain. Mr. Bruno places the needs of his clients first and takes pride in being accessible to his clients. Mr. Bruno regularly fights for the rights of individuals, and small business owners against insurance companies and banks. Mr. Bruno has successfully represented two clients against the United States of America. Mr. Bruno has assisted clients in obtaining fair value for private property taken through eminent domain including from the City of Dallas, Texas, the City of Omaha, Nebraska, Douglas County, Nebraska, Sarpy County, Nebraska, and the State of Nebraska. On August 3, 2012, Mr. Bruno successfully obtained reversal from the Nebraska Supreme Court of a District Court's decision to shut down his client's daycare.
Mr. Bruno has obtained significant results on behalf of clients, including five judgments exceeding $1,000,000, a jury verdict of $527,391.50, and successful tax protests resulting in valuation reductions of $2,308,795 and $3,006,030. Mr. Bruno has prosecuted and argued appeals in front of the Nebraska Supreme Court and Nebraska Court of Appeals.
Mr. Bruno has represented clients in front of various governmental and/or regulatory agencies, including the Omaha City Council, Blair Airport Authority, Sarpy County Planning Board, Sarpy County Board of Commissioners, Douglas County Zoning Board, Lancaster County Board of Equalization, Douglas County Board of Equalization, and the Nebraska Appeal Tribunal. Mr. Bruno has been retained by other lawyers to serve as an expert witness in litigation.
