Catherine Rose Brukalo comes to the Law Offices of Mark L. Karno & Associates having previously practiced in Personal Injury Litigation and having represented patients who have been wronged by the medical profession in Medical Malpractice and Wrongful Death Litigation.
Catherine is licensed to practice Law in the State of Illinois and in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Catherine is involved in all aspects of litigation and trial.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Mark L. Karno & Associates, Catherine was involved in the preparation and trial of multiple medical negligence cases. Further, Catherine aided in the mediation and settlement of multiple medical negligence cases in Cook and Winnebago Counties in Illinois. In her previous Personal Injury Litigation experience, Catherine prosecuted multiple cases to verdict in both bench and jury trials.
Catherine received her Juris Doctor degree for the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Before going to law school, Catherine obtained a Master of Arts degree in the History of Art from University College London, in London, England, having previously graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and History. After completing her studies in London, Catherine travelled to Krakow, Poland, where she was an intern at the United States Consulate General for the United States Department of State. Her work overseas gave Catherine an opportunity to represent the United States Consulate to various private and governmental organizations. Catherine was recognized for her contributions at the Consulate General by then United States Ambassador to Poland, Christopher R. Hill.
Catherine is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Chicago Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.
Catherine is of Polish descent, speaks several foreign languages, and remains active in the Polish-American community in Chicago.
Catherine resides in Chicago with her husband and Golden Retriever.
