Monica Brown practices in the area of complex commercial and multijurisdictional litigation. She has participated in numerous matters in federal and state court, including disputes concerning copyright ownership, trademark and trade dress infringement, antitrust and contract claims, product liability, insurance coverage, and other commercial litigation matters.
Monica specializes in handling complex legal issues and drafting various trial submissions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, briefs in opposition to class certification, Daubert motions, proposed jury instructions, and other pretrial and post-trial briefs. She also devotes a significant portion of her practice to appellate and intellectual property matters. In recent years, Monica has assisted in the successful defense of a copyright ownership dispute, resulting in summary judgment and an award of attorney's fees; coordinated the defense of multiple arbitration proceedings throughout the U.S. in post-bankruptcy litigation; and assisted in the successful defense and settlement of a shareholder action.
Monica is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the J.L. Turner Legal Association.
