Brown, Sarah A.

Elizabeth "Lily: Brown is an associate with the Trial Practice Group at Barrett & Farahany, LLP. Lily represents clients in a wide variety of employment matters, working extensively with people who are the victims of workplace discrimination, including cases involving race discrimination, gender discrimination, sexual harassment and other hostile work environment practices.

Lily graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Peace Studies. She received her Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law in 2009. In law school, Lily helped to create the Emory Immigration Law Society (EILS), an Emory-based organization focusing on the development of community projects to assist immigrants and U.S. residents of other nationalities in understanding and navigating federal immigration laws and policies. Lily also completed internships with the judges of the Atlanta Immigration Court, and the Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) program. Prior to joining Barrett & Farahany, Lily was employed with a plaintiff’s litigation boutique in Midtown, Atlanta, and also has experience working with Francis M. Bird, Jr., in his private trusts & estate planning practice in Midtown.

Lily is a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) and the Lamar Inn of Court. Lily is also a member of the Georgia State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the state courts of Georgia; the Georgia Court of Appeals; and, the Georgia Supreme Court. Outside of work, Lily enjoys participating in the performing arts, particularly in the areas of ballet, modern, and jazz dance, as well as Brazilian Capoeira and martial arts.
