Eric B. Brown is a native of Grand Island, Nebraska and a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and the University of Nebraska College of Law, where his high academic achievements qualified him as a member of several honor societies and the Moot Court Board.  Mr. Brown is a principal with Atwood, Holsten, Brown & Deaver,  P.C., L.L.O. in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Now in his second decade of practice, he focuses in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation, representing both defendants and plaintiffs with catastrophic injuries. While confidentiality rules prohibit discussion of particular clients, the combined value of his court victories and settlements in the last decade is estimated to have significantly exceeded 12 million dollars.  Mr. Brown is also a trained and certified mediator in the State of Nebraska.

Mr. Brown is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association and the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys. Mr. Brown is also a retired member of the Executive Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association as well as the Executive Board of the Lincoln Bar Association.  He is licensed to practice before the state and federal courts in Nebraska as well as the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  In 1999, Mr. Brown recorded a verdict including the highest amount of punitive damages ever awarded by a Nebraska jury in a discrimination case.  He has made new law at the Supreme Court on several different occasions, as noted in the cases listed below.  Mr. Brown has chaired and lectured at numerous educational seminars in the areas of worker’s compensation and employment discrimination.  His wife, Kristin, is also an attorney in Lincoln.  Kristin and Eric have three children.  Eric enjoys coaching his sons Eli and Will in baseball, and is continually amazed by his daughter Ellen, who was born with profound chromosomal and developmental challenges that hinder neither her smile nor her impact on everyone around her.
