Upon returning from his military service in Europe, Geoff attended law school at the University of Notre Dame where he graduated magna cum laude in 2000. While at Notre Dame, Geoff served as the Executive Editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy and as the Treasurer of the Military Law Students Association.

After graduating from Notre Dame School of Law, Geoff worked at law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in Cleveland, Ohio. As part of Jones Day’s antitrust litigation department, Geoff assisted the Jones Day team in representing American companies in a variety of complex legal settings.

At Bordas & Bordas, Geoff concentrates his work on the firm’s complex litigation and medical malpractice cases. He has acquired substantial experience in discovery and trial of personal injury and medical malpractice cases.

During the course of Geoff’s career, he has represented numerous clients in medical malpractice trials.  Among his notable verdicts are the 2008 verdict of $4,000,000.00 in Karpacs v. In addition to his medical malpractice experience, Geoff has also successfully represented individuals harmed by the negligence of stockbrokers.  This experience includes the representation of individuals before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitration panel.

Geoff has also represented individuals harmed by the misconduct of energy companies, including those harmed by electric distribution companies and natural gas providers.

Geoff is also active in advancing the development of the legal profession.  For example, his work on the statutory law applicable to Ohio personal injury litigation was published in Ohio Trial, a periodical read by plaintiff’s attorneys throughout the state of Ohio.  Geoff’s expertise in working with expert witnesses recently lead to his presentation on that subject at the 2011 litigation seminar put on by West Virginia Continuing Legal Education.
