Lisa Brower is a counsel in the firm's Securities Department, and a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2001.
Practice
Ms. Brower works with clients in connection with enforcement matters brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange, NASD and other federal securities regulators, as well as from other authorities. She has experience in a wide range of issues including accounting matters, insider trading, mark-ups and internal investigations.
While in law school, Ms. Brower interned at Warburg Dillon Read LLC in Stamford, Connecticut, where she worked in the Compliance Risk Assessment Division preparing memos concerning internal investigations and analyzing agent registration requirements. In a separate internship, Ms. Brower worked in the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission, where she assisted in cases brought by the Staff.
Ms. Brower was part of a team of WilmerHale lawyers who served as counsel to the Special Investigative Committee of the Board of Directors of Enron Corp. Their work became part of the Powers Report, a much-publicized 200-page document detailing Enron’s transactions and addressing the role of Enron’s management, oversight by the board of directors and, in part, the role of Enron’s outside counsel and auditors.
