Fredric Brooks joined Dickstein Shapiro LLP in January 2005, as counsel in the firm's Complex Dispute Resolution Practice. Mr. Brooks' primary practice involves alternative dispute resolution, with a focus on class actions and products liability. He represents clients in the litigation and resolution of complex disputes and in the design and implementation of large settlements. His practice includes dispute and risk analysis, settlement of mass tort matters, litigation of complex commercial matters, advice on estimation of potential future liability, and implementation of major class action settlements.
Mr. Brooks also serves as a neutral in the settlement and resolution of complex disputes, and has designed and administered numerous large claims processes. He served as a Deputy to the Special Master of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund and has worked on the successful adjudication and resolution of claims in the settlements of significant class actions in cases involving areas such as commercial litigation and discrimination claims brought by police officers.
