In over 35 years of practicing law, Garrett L. Briggs has been involved in a wide range of legal matters, including substantial litigation. His trial experience began by serving as an assistant state attorney in the Seventh Judicial Circuit, in the State of Florida. Several years later, Mr. Briggs entered the civil trial practice of law by joining Isham W. Adams and creating the law firm Adams & Briggs.
During the approximately 17 years, Mr. Adams and Mr. Briggs practiced together, they were involved in both criminal and civil proceedings. Upon the death of Mr. Adams in 1995, Joan Stefanec Briggs, who graduated from law school in late 1994, joined the firm and it then become known as Adams, Briggs & Briggs.
Over the many years since, the firm has continued to provide legal services in both Volusia and Flagler County, and the firm is now primarily involved in estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate, as well as family and marital law. Legal services are provided in both the trial and appellate courts, and litigation remains a large part of both the family and probate practices.
Since 2006, the law firm Adams, Briggs & Briggs has been located near the Volusia County Courthouse Annex in Daytona Beach, in the Wall Street Lofts on Magnolia Avenue, in downtown Daytona Beach, Florida.
