Brien, Scott M.

Mr. Bridger's practice focuses primarily on maritime, energy and casualty defense and marine insurance coverage matters. He has extensive experience in handling Jones Act claims, claims involving collision or allision, wreck removal, and other maritime and energy-related claims. Mr. Bridger also handles insurance coverage disputes and defense of employment discrimination and harassment claims. He has proven effective in working for clients in all phases of claims, from pre-litigation, through trial court litigation, and appeals.

Mr. Bridger earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980 from The Johns Hopkins University, with an emphasis in philosophy and comparative literature. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School in 1982, with an emphasis in Louisiana Civil Law and U.S. Maritime Law.

Mr. Bridger was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1982 and the Texas Bar in 1994. Early in his career, he took the opportunity to gain extensive trial and appellate experience, serving his adopted home of New Orleans as an assistant district attorney. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the New Orleans Bar Association.

Outside the office and courts, Mr. Bridger places his highest priority on spending time with his wife and two sons, extended family, and friends. As time allows, he pursues hobbies of golf, automobile restoration, and follows his college alma mater's lacrosse team.
