Jennifer A. Brennan is a founding attorney of Gilbert LLP and advises corporate policyholders on a variety of issues related to insurance coverage and strategic risk management. Jennifer has represented corporate and other policyholders with respect to a wide range of coverage matters, including asbestos-related bodily injury and property damage claims, breast implant, heart valve and other product liability claims, directors and officers coverage, professional liability coverage and pharmaceutical-related coverage issues.
Jennifer’s practice focuses on:
- The development and implementation of creative and effective strategies for negotiated or mediated recoveries of insurance assets for defense costs and liability payments associated with mass tort and other significant claims
- Complex, multi-party dispute resolutions in all forums, including the representation of parties in negotiation, formal mediation, alternative dispute resolution proceedings, litigation and mass tort bankruptcies
- The successful recovery of significant insurance proceeds from insolvent, financially troubled and run-off insurers in the United States and abroad pursuant to solvent schemes of arrangement, and the implications of Part VII transfers
- Representing policyholder interests on a number of creditors’ committees and working groups for insolvent insurers in the United States and United Kingdom, drafting schemes of arrangements, liquidation and rehabilitation plans and establishing final distribution payments
