Marshall Breit practices civil litigation and criminal defense. Marshall came to the firm with extensive trial and courtroom experience, having worked as a Deputy State Public Defender in Adams County, Colorado for many years.
Marshall’s civil practice specializes in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Marshall represents clients who have been wrongfully injured in motor vehicle accidents, injured because of dangerous products or unsafe property conditions, and those who have suffered catastrophic injuries caused by medical malpractice. He strongly believes in the firm’s collaborative approach to handling cases and provides the best possible, client-centered representation.
Marshall also specializes in criminal defense and represents clients charged with all types of criminal and traffic offenses. With extensive experience handling misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony matters, Marshall has successfully represented thousands of clients. Marshall has tried over 65 criminal jury trials and numerous trials to the Court winning many important verdicts for his clients. With his legal expertise, a strong ability to negotiate, and excellent litigation skills, Marshall provides zealous representation to his clients at all stages of criminal and traffic proceedings.
Marshall is a native of Colorado. After graduating from Manual High School in Denver, he moved to Atlanta and earned his B.A. degree from Emory University. Following college, Marshall moved to Washington, D.C. where he worked on international security issues for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Marshall returned to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Denver. While in law school, he was a member of the National Traveling Mock Trial Team and worked as a student intern in the Denver trial office of the Colorado State Public Defender.
He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, the Colorado Juvenile Defenders Coalition and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Marshall is proficient in Spanish and regularly represents Spanish-speaking clients.
Marshall’s wife is also a criminal defense attorney. They live in metro Denver with their son J.B.
