GERALD J. BREAUX is an partner with the law firm of Simon, Fitzgerald, Cooke, Reed and Welch. Mr.Breaux received his undergraduate degree in Education from Louisiana State University in 1985, and his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Law School in 1990. Mr. Breaux is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, South West Louisiana Bankruptcy Bar Association and is a former member of the Booth-Politz Inns of Court. Mr. Breaux is certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization and the American Board of Certification as a Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist, and is currently on the Bankruptcy Law Advisory Board of Legal Specialization, Consumer Bankruptcy, Louisiana State Bar Association, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and a Working Group member for South West Louisiana Bankruptcy Bar Association. He has federal appellate court experience on bankruptcy issues, and has served on seminar panels related to consumer bankruptcy issues. Mr. Breaux has devoted over 90% of his law practice in the past 15 years to consumer bankruptcy, assisting thousands of individuals during that time.
