Emily Branum is a Partner in the Birmingham Office. She is a member of the firm's Corporate and Securities and Intellectual Property practice groups. Ms. Branum's practice focuses on general corporate mergers and acquistions and intellectual property matters. Ms. Branum has significant experience handling various transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions for privately held companies. Ms. Branum also regularly represents businesses in connection with a broad range of general corporate matters, including organizational matters, corporate governance, debt and equity financing, contracts, reorganizations, licensing, and other business matters.
Ms. Branum devotes a substantial amount of time advising a broad range of clients on intellectual property matters, including technology transfers, licensing, securing, maintaining and licensing trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, and advertising and marketing matters. She also helps clients develop and monitor comprehensive intellectual property protection programs, allowing organizations to identify, protect, exploit and enforce their intellectual property rights.
Ms. Branum's experience includes assisting clients with various types of technology related disputes and contracts, including development and license agreements involving complex and emerging technologies.
