Jeanne Bowden's practice at BSLF involves the handling of petitions to modify trusts, to change trustees and to terminate and consolidate trusts and the pre-trial management of trust and will controversies. Ms. Bowden, a graduate of Emory Law School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, also attended Queens University, where she was a Dana Scholar. She joined Henry L. Bowden, Jr. in 1995 as a founding attorney of The Bowden Law Firm, which became The Bowden Spratt Law Firm in 2009. Prior to 1995, Jeanne clerked for the Hon. Robert H. Hall on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and after her clerkship, was employed by the Northern District of Georgia as an affiliated attorney for 15 years, assisting the Court in revising its local rules, the Marielito Cuban project in conjunction with the Atlanta Bar Association, and as reporter for the Civil Justice Reform Act of 1990. Ms. Bowden is a former chairman of the Emory Law School Council. In 2005, she was named a Distinguished Alumna of Emory University Law School.
Jeanne’s husband, Henry L. Bowden, Jr., is also an attorney at BSLF. She and Henry have two children, Caroline B. Stockdale, a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Savannah College of Art and Design, and Henry L. Bowden III, a graduate of Emory University and Emory University Law School.
