David A. Bowling attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and graduated cum laude in Philosophy in May, 1980. Mr. Bowling graduated from Tulane University School of Law in May, 1983 and was admitted to the Louisiana bar in October, 1983. Mr. Bowling became a member of the bar of the state of Mississippi in September, 1998. For many years, Mr. Bowling has enjoyed Martindale-Hubbell’s highest A-V rating.

Mr. Bowling has considerable experience in all forms of wrongful death and personal injury litigation, having tried through jury verdict numerous automobile, trucking, premises liability, product liability, admiralty, toxic tort and medical malpractice cases. He has tried cases in federal district courts, bankruptcy courts, state courts, and before state and federal administrative agencies in Louisiana, Mississippi and other states. Mr. Bowling’s efforts on behalf of his clients have yielded numerous seven-figure results, including recoveries of $5.25 million, $4 million, $3.025 million, $2.02 million, $1.25 million and $1 million.

Mr. Bowling has extensive experience handling medical malpractice claims as well as complex catostrophic injury cases including those involving birth asphyxia/ hypoxic ischemic encephelopathy, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.
 
Mr. Bowling also has considerable expertise in the field of maritime personal injury law. Mr. Bowling has trial and appellate experience litigating issues pertaining to the Jones Act, the doctrines of unseaworthiness and maintenance and cure, the application of the maritime collateral source rule to employee benefits, the effect of the violation of federal regulations on the comparative negligence of seamen and other questions of admiralty law.

Mr. Bowling is admitted to practice before all Federal courts in the states of Mississippi and Louisiana, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Bowling is also admitted to practice before all state courts in the states of Mississippi and Louisiana.
