Robert Bourguignon joined the firm in 2013 as counsel to the Corporate and Real Estate Departments. He brings extensive finance experience covering lending, structured finance, real estate finance, asset based lending, commercial and industrial lending, and cross-border transactions.

Robert represents private equity firms, local, regional, and national banks, domestic and foreign hedge funds, and private lenders in a wide range of activities including traditional and non-traditional real estate finance, leasehold finance, debtor-in-possession finance, litigation finance, consumer lending finance, Native American tribal lending, and financing of natural resources. Collateral types have included consumer loan portfolios, all manner of real estate collateral (fee and leasehold, commercial, industrial, warehouse, office, credit tenant, multifamily, and government lease), business equity, litigation proceeds, accounts receivable, professional athlete contracts, mortgage loan portfolios, foreign government receivables, oil and gas extraction facilities, healthcare accounts, insurance policies and proceeds, factored receivables, and artwork.

Robert not only structures and originates transactions, but has been involved in modifications, forbearances, restructurings, workouts, foreclosures, litigation, and bankruptcies.
