Douglas J. Blue's associates describe him as determined and uncompromising in his efforts to obtain the absolute best settlement result for clients and their families. As a counselor of law, he has the ability to put client's at ease when sharing their emotional experience for which they are seeking representation.
Douglas J. Blue has been practicing personal injury trial law for nine years. He has tried numerous cases throughout the State of Ohio. His experience in the courtroom includes auto accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, and products liability. Douglas has extensive experience in the area of intentional torts where an employee files a lawsuit alleging injury from misconduct on the part of his or her employer, separate and apart from a workers' compensation claim.
Douglas was born and raised in Columbus. He graduated from Upper Arlington High School and Wittenberg University where he was a member of the basketball team, President of Alpha Tau Omega, and frequent member of the Dean's list.
Douglas graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Vermont Law School, where he earned a Master's Degree in Environmental Law in addition to a Juris Doctor degree. While there, Douglas served as President of his legal fraternity and was a Thomas Debovois Moot Court finalist.
Since graduating, Douglas has worked exclusively in the personal injury trial field, trying lawsuits and settling hundreds of claims for victims of negligent, careless and reckless acts. Douglas is currently President of the Deposition Bank for the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.
